Mac Mini

Hello all,

Just a few questions for those of you who, unlike me, know about this sort of stuff...

Does anyone here have any experience of making music on a Mac Mini?

If so.. How did you get on re: number of audio tracks before the thing starts to go wrong?

Would it be possible to get say, 24 tracks of audio & effects up and running?

Some people I've spoken too think that this would not be a problem, while others insist it'd be impossible without a more powerful computer...

Would I be better off with an eMac perhaps? ...and what about the hard drive speed? Would the 4200rpm drive inside a mini be able to cope?

...I recall working in studios years ago where old beige G3s were being used as 24 track recorders with no problems... surely a Mini is (comparatively) more powerful and therefore would be ok... or would it??

I run pro tools, I was told by many pros not to even install it on my weak comp, but I did it anyway. It worked fine.
