I have YouTube subscribers, who I'm not sure count as a fanbase. Most of my mashups remain in the double-treble figure viewcount, which some commenters say should be higher, though I usually respond that when views go above a few hundred you start getting dislikes and your percentage likes/dislkes ratio is no longer 100%, which can spoil your day. The figure in the analytics data I like best is view duration. I'd rather have one person who watches all the way through than 1000 who leave after a minute.

 

But then making mashups, I don't monetise for myself, it all goes to the original artists, so it's easy for me to not bother about promoting.
