Lemonade Stand

I see the corporations.

I see their massive size.

I see the only dreams they have

Are making competitions die.

So I clear my mind

As I walk down the street.

I see the little girl

On the corner selling drinks.

I tip her five dollars

Way too much it seems.

But let that allow her

To go forth to her dreams.

Why not give to the pure?

The innocent at heart.

May she live a decent life

And not grow to be corrupt.

She smiles and she waves now

Every time I walk by.

So I smile back

And we exchange out little hi’s.

She told me she saved her money.

Smart little girl in this big world.

Oh, the innocence of the young.

She plays and skips and twirls.

Hey MK!

Just one small grammatical error:

May her live a decent life

And not grow to be corrupt.

Suggested change:

May she live a decent life

And not grow to be corrupt.

Other than that BEAUTIFUL!

:) John B.
