Shed My Skin

Early last week I swam out of the Darkness.

I have shed my skin,

I have spit out the venom that was consuming me,

I spit it on the Flames of Hatred till they sputtered and died out.

I spit out the weaker man and rose to find myself walking tall through his ashes with a new and liberating indifference, looking out at the world with brand new eyes and a brand new Heart. I feel humbled by the path I had to climb and at the same time in awe of my becoming.

It feels good to be ALIVE
