my name is nick and i live in Idaho. I've been around the music scene since i was a baby my dad played a band and he showed me how to record music in are living room. i hope to maybe one day open my own studio to record with but yeah. i am also a musician i can play the guitar a little bit and i have my own song ideas that i would love to sing one day. i hope to find new friends here and also find mabey some people to help me write my songs(like i said early they are just ideas right now) i've never been good at turning my ideas in to lyrics although i can develop a story that can express the feeling i want i cant ever seem to get lyrics that sound good to me

Welcome to Songstuff!

There's lots of writers at levels on the boards. Take a swing by the review boards and have a read at some of the reviews. Personally I'd recommend doing some reviews (even as a complete beginner) as it will open your eyes to some ideas and concepts and allow you to discuss songs and songwriting even when you have not posted a lyric or song for review yourself. Breaking down the songs of others is a great way to learn.

Hopefully they will provide some food for thought. I'd recommend reading "Lyrics Critique For Songwriters" to help you begin to break down songs.
