What do those producer use?

Recommended Posts

I don't know if I agree - I think you should use whatever makes you sound better. If it is to rehearse 4 times a week you do that, if auto tuning makes you sound better do that. It's results that count, after all.

Auto tuning is really only like frets on a guitar - a development in the technology of music. In 20 years nobody's gonna think two times about it.

The guide for me is simply, it's the end result that matters. Someone can write great songs, and still not be a great singer (Bob Dylan springs to mind...).

Now if they can't sing and the end result still sucks (William Shatner  ) then the humilation is usually enough to finish them off!

Cheers

John

I think if a person is going to make a living as a singser, then one of the requirements is an ability to sing! If I want to make it as a keyboard player, then you would expect me to be able to play the friggin keyboard! I'm not talking about the likes of people like me who openly admit to a lack of vocal skills. I could probably use something that keeps me in tune! But I have heard of proffesional singers...? Using hardware versions of these autotune devices to keep in tune! Tom Jones wouldn't need one of these things...!

I would need one of those auto-tuning things for my brain to make it stray less often on strange thoughts.
