Never think my sweet little angel

I would ever throw or discard

Every card you made for me

For every Christmas that has passed

How could I? Ever toss away,

Cards you painted of us together

A big ol me holding your little hand

Waiting for your school bus to arrive

Sun behind us, shinning bright

They are much dearer to me

Then the inscriptions in the bible

Written by a trembling hand

Somewhere far by a holy old man

For they are meant to be read

Yet these cards would be forever mine

Engraved deep within my soul

Forgive me, my dear

For I am clumpy with my possessions

My room is scattered with paper

Some rusting nuts and bolts

An old oily string attached to a rope

It plays a sound that touches my soul

Playing softly, music from heaven

As if, God himself composed it for me

A sound of an accordion playing far away

Playing somewhere across the ocean

If only, I could hear it loud and clear

The lower notes played towards the end

A journey that I started so long ago

I could rest in piece, towards the end

Knowing of little they might

Yet my accomplishments

Your mother often grunts

“Learn to pickup after yourself

How do you manage to find you way?

Living with you is “Hell” as they say"

A little dirty, I shall admit

Trash; she calls it and that its not

All of my possessions saved within

My soul rests beneath it all

It is my heart beating through these walls

You name it and I shall find for you

Black spots of ink on a paper, as you see

These nameless faces are related to you

For the paintings of your cards

I have a special place within my heart

Till it can be physically opened

They are safely placed within its cracks

They shall remain within this room

Within my soul after I die

Forever and ever mine

You my angle, will always shine
