Hi

Here's one...

The Chase

Close your eyes, you'll be there soon you know

Stay warm in softly circling arms, and sleep

Lay your head, let the world slip away

A veil between the light and you, sleep

Hand tugging at your clothes so

Each motion pulls them tight

Each step taken drags you slower

Caught by the chase tonight

When darkness closes like an open palm around a flame

That's flickering white

Just as you reach the candle, there is no light

To feel fear creeping, like fingers touching

Scratching up and down your spine

Welcome to the nightmare you've been trying to hide

One hand reaches, moving forward

Stumbling from side to side

To find a place that's safe from harm, inside

Just one look, over a shoulder

Catch a glimpse a face of fright

But as you turn it slips out of sight
