i tend to write the chorus first because it is the main part of the song and my rythym goes from there. I do the verses second, making them the same rythym and then the break or bridge comes last. I makes it so much easier for me that way because i can also keep the meaning/ concept of the song consistent as well as keeping the rythym and harmony the same.

1. Do you sing, play an instrument or instruments? People tell me i can sing, but i dont think i can 2. Are you in a band or bands? No, but i did write for a band called Electric Fuse. 3. Do you write songs? I write lyrics without a partner. 4. Do you record your music? have fun with Audacity, but i not serious about that 5. What other roles do you perform in the music business? None 6. Are you a tech head? No 7. What country do you live in? Australia 8. What are your ambitions? To write lyrics for some one famous or help people with lyrics 9. Do you draw/paint/write stories/computer art/dance or other creative pursuit? just lyrics 10. What would you like to get out of Songstuff? Its fun, i can get my songs critiqued so i can see what i need to do to improve my lyrics skills.

so far i was the youngest. i wrote my first lyric when i was 8 and it was weird. i didnt keep it so i cant show it here i dont remember it at all coz i only started taking writing seriously about 5 or 6 years after that

personally, my favorites r the teen aged ones like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. but also Kelly Clarkson and Jessica Mauboy, winners of American Idol and Australian idol. also, their lyrics have meaning behind them making them more appealing to me, as well as the music. they have some kind of technoish rock/pop. i also agree with euphoriamorning on the screamo and ra ra ra thing... i hate it so much... also the techno stuff they do to their voices... it just ruins them.

the same thin happened to me yesterday. i had an awesome lyric in my head until got a book out. as soon as i did that, i lost the whole thing. it annoys me so much
