  1. ok.. thats useful info i shall pursue further thanks dude.
  2. hey john - that sounds great definitely get back to u on that.
  3. hi guys so our album is finished *on the recording part at least prepping for the big push .. just some ideas / websites thrown my way would be fantastic as i wanna explore every dark dingy avenue if need be to get this out there. thanks moocho gratias. ps. does any1 have space co-ordinates for terrestial tv satellites as that could be useful please. mwwahaha.
  4. i think it depends what kinda vocal style you want to adopt. > singing from your diaghram and exhaling exenuates more of a breathy warm tone.. i guess this is a 'correct' singing style that promotes an unforced character. but is apparantly 'dangerous' oh well.. > if your a screecher then you'll sing harder relying more on your throat registers for power which doesn't rely on so much lung capacity as your larynx is squeezing the s.hit outta your throat. oh well.. either way your screwed. : scream for me sooooooooooooongstuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuff!.. <choke>
  5. sorry didier, i didn't mean to tread on your toes dude i wasn't po'd as my last post on this sounded honest mate! - i find it ain't too easy to articulate yourself sometimes in this cosmic world of mere text.. when i am recording, it mostly takes me umpteen takes to get my vox down and on the money, but i'm satisfied to listen back and know i gave it everything i could.. personal acheivment n' all ya know.. i would say this software is cool for formulating ideas/demos - rock on to that - but as a substitute urrgh.. horrible!
  6. i'm hearing you on the psychological side of preparation Finn - personally i find its important to be in the right frame of mind. - if i'm tired, or emotionally engaged elsewhere then i know it'll be a pretty crapped out performance...
  7. oh do come on - any self-righteous singer/songwriter is not gonna even express the slightest amount of interest in this bullshit. - as a songwriter - either you express yourself emotionally and physically or you don't. full stop. if it takes umpteenth takes to express your true feelings to a song - then by jove - thats what the song requires - as a lyricist and singer, i personally would hate denying myself the most integral effort on my part. i disagree with any1 that advocoates this software- why should you? please feel free to argue further against my belief as i'm aware of this software and its popularity, but frankly it frustrates me...
  8. hi john i find running through some scales with some resonant 'oow's and 'aaahs' does it for me - all the better if a lady friend is about to help you. drink plenty of water beforehand and during and repeat for the gig as necessary.
  9. hi there, i.... oh sorry jees this must be the wrong room lolol
  10. i just digested all that a bit too quick.. i think i'm gonna chuck
  11. bear this in mind when faced with any future groupies.
  12. hi al, i work each register to its entirety and hope i some left over in my balls. no i do tend to focus on the set and cut back on the day.. i also drink plenty of water throughout the day and between songs during. its not always the way though i admit! - had many a vox crap out.
  13. although a seasoned, heavy smoker - i am aware when my voice is about to crap out - just all the more conscious of it in pre gig / recording situations.
