Hi all! My name's Topaz! I'm not new to Songstuff - I signed up up a few months ago - but I never really got around to posting so I thought I'd start now Filling out the form John put up! 1. Do you sing, play an instrument or instruments? What instruments? Piano, guitar, and vocals. When did you start playing? Piano: 7 years ago; guitar: 2 years ago; voice: my whole life. Did you teach yourself? Piano: No. Guitar: Yes. Voice: I started taking lessons a few months ago so... yes and no? 2. Are you in a band or bands? What is the name of the band? Wishfall! <3 What do you play? I sing. What other instruments are in the band? Guitar, piano, ukelele, and another singer. Do you have a band website? Nope. 3. Do you write songs? Do you write lyrics, music or both? Yep, I write songs! I only write lyrics, not music. Do you have a writing partner? No, but I want one! 4. Do you record your music? Do you use a home studio? If so what gear do you use? I just use my computer's microphone, nothing fancy. Do you use a recording studio? I wish! Do you have music available on the web? if so where? Soundcloud - I'm topazwinters. 5. What other roles do you perform in the music business? Management? Label owner? Publishing? Promotion? Other? I'm just a girl who likes to write songs. 6. Are you a tech head? Uh, no... 7. What country do you live in? Singapore! 8. What are your ambitions? Well, I just write songs for fun. I haven't really considered pursuing a musical career. My other ambitions include publishing a book and maybe having a career in graphic design. 9. Do you draw/paint/write stories/computer art/dance or other creative pursuit? What are your pastimes? Wow, there are so many! Well, obviously I love songwriting and singing, and as I mentioned above I also enjoy graphic design. Other than that, reading, watching movies, playing with my dog, drawing, playing piano/guitar, and writing. 10. What would you like to get out of Songstuff? Just a community where I can share my songs and look at others'!

I'm curious as to what you guys think of stage names. Do you think singers should go by their given names or create stage names? If you had a stage name, what would it be? And what do you think a good stage name for me would be? (By the way, my given name is Topaz.) I'd love to hear your thoughts!
