Hello: I'm a college professor, but my real passion has always been songwriting (actually, I'll do anything to get away from grading Freshman essays ). For me, songwriting is very much like painting and short story writing--blending "note colors" and ideas that fit into a 3-4 minute space-canvas. I mostly play acoustic guitar, but I also play electric quite a bit as well as mandolin...and even banjo when I feel like throwing all caution away. I basically write songs because I have to.
