1. Do you sing, play an instrument or instruments? Sing and play acoustic guitar, for years, some lessons, some self taught. Squareneck Dobro - 8 months of online lessons - Artistworks Mandolin - 8 months of online lessons - Artistworks Bouzouki - not played often 2. Are you in a band or bands? No, but been hosting a weekly open acoustic open mic for last 5 years. Attend other local open mics at least twice a month Member of local Folklore Society and Songwriting group. Attend weekly bluegrass jam sessions - amateur's....trust me Gig solo or with another songwriter for 1-2 hours at least once a month. 3. Do you write songs? Have written a dozen or so songs, have a couple of hundred of ideas that have not been completed Lyrics are a struggle. Why?, because they require work. Writing or creating musical ideas has always been easier. Have attended songwriting workshops, and as mentioned above a member of a local Songwriting group in metro Detroit we get together once a month Get together with some mates, a couple of times a month to share ideas, sharpen new tunes, etc. 4. Do you record your music? Yes as far as recording sketches or covers......but nothing for an actual cd, however this is on the radar for the future. 5. What other roles do you perform in the music business? Only that I have a passion for sound, and love hearing everyone perform and play music of all ages. 6. Are you a tech head? Notta 7. Do you draw/paint/write stories/computer art/dance or other creative pursuit? Listen to music non-stop even when I am not learning or playing. 10. What would you like to get out of Songstuff? Network with other artists with similar backgrounds and goals.
