Hey guys,
I used to absolutely love the sound of the piano. When I started writing songs on it a year ago and played it every day in a piano class in our high school (mostly just noodling around) I started to not like the sound of it anymore. I remember thinking when I was writing a song that I liked how the song sounded, but I didn't like how the actual piano I was using sounded and that it would sound a lot better using a really nice one. The problem was that I would listen to a song with a really nice piano but still not like the actual sound of the piano anymore. Do I need to take a break or have I ruined the piano for myself?
Thanks guys
Another side note, whenever I'm listening to songs I always want to change parts of it, like the chord progression, the melodies, etc. I'm sure it's like this for a lot of other musicians, but how do I make myself just enjoy what the artists have written and appreciate them for what they are instead of thinking how unoriginal a chord progression is or how I'd like to change the melody, etc.
Thanks again
