  1. Personally I like the higher voice better. It sounds like you have more control over that range than you do your lower range. But then on the other hand, I do like higher ranges better anyway. I'm not much of a songwriter so I don't think I can give you much feedback in that area. Sorry.
  2. It is possible to force yourself to sing higher, but there is a big risk that you will permanently ruin your vocal chords. The best option is to develop your head voice and the transition between your chest and head voice. Singers have been known to develop the head voice to be nearly as strong as the chest voice, just with a different timbre. One way to develop the transition is to practice scales leading from your chest voice range up into your head voice range.
  3. Personally, I agree with the "sing anywhere and everywhere" suggestion. The only way to get over stage-fright is to get on stage as often as you can and eventually you will get used to it. Another thing, the first time you get on stage, don't think about what everyone thinks of your singing. You are getting on stage because you love music. That is what you should focus on. (I would skip the beer. Alcohol, caffeine, and dairy are known to be bad for the vocal cords especially on the day of a performance. Stick with water.) PS- the dairy thing is just temporary but the alcohol and caffeine can have permanent effects.
  4. In all the songs I listened to, I heard two voices. Were both of them you?
