Try using the Akg 414!! Use 2 of them in a parallel position about 1- 1 1/2ft away from cymbals. Thats what i use and the sound comes out nice 4 me.

To make this repost as fast as possible I got an: Digi 003 Pro Tools LE 7.3 MPC 2000XL Yamaha DGX 305 Triton Micro Korg Vocoder MXL Mic Samson CO1 (Which i have had for years....lol) Resolv 65a Monitors DBX 266 Compressor/Gate Zoom 9120 and a partrige in a pear tree...(lol...i know that i spelled it wrong) Not much but it does the job!!!

I am a regular Pro Tools kinda Guy. I got a good amount of outboard gear which i DO use. Just thought that i would out that out there!!!!

I would consider getting a patchbay, but at home i have my 003 rack which has enough in/outs for all my gear. I would like to have one because everything would be really organized buti dont think its really needed at the moment. Maybe thats a reason for me to get more GEAR!!!lol
