  1. It's definitely the kind of jazz I love! Thinking of Sade, Ronny Jordan, softjazz.com some years ago. There are much music today taking inspiration from the sound 10 years ago. I don't think it's outdated - use it for your album. But forget to tells us when the album is released
  2. Would be really interesting to hear your work.
  3. Good idea to give a helping hand. I've been involved in projects with serveral musicians - someone add the funky bass, someone else other tracks and finally song. If the tracks are saved in a good way it's easy to do remixes later. The hardest job - I guess - is to find the right musicians.
  4. Nice homebrew! The drumsound is great and the songs gave just gave me inspiration to start an old project. I am going to arrange Johnny Cash songs tonight.
  5. Yeah, every brilliant song is suddenly predictable and forgettable. Happens me all the time. That's why I'm here - to find out if I can make a hit or just shit
  6. Hi everyone, STEREO TOOL is probably the most common tool for broadcast today. Has anyone out there tried to use this tool for mastering/recording? I've seen and heard it in action but don't know if it's possible to use to "process a WAV-file".
  7. Hi guys! Once a man from Africa told me what a sing-songwriter is. He said: It's about composing beats and find a story to the beats. The melody makes it self. I asked: What is success? When all your neighbors dance and sing your song, of course! He never mentioned $. Some years later a met a successful producer. Tell the story of your life - he said - is something from the past. With the right sound of your time you can use lyrics saying nothing. Music is a form of theater. If you pretend hard, it's real. I don't have the right sound of my time. I'm not a poet, but I will continue writing. You will also keep on fighting, I know. Just a "fist feeling" about never giving up... I have collected what I have learn from others - lyrics saying nothing and makes no $
  8. Hello Bernd, I didn't say so much at all in my post... I have played all life in cover bands - rock, handrock, blues, pop, folk, irish. Have never believed that I can write, so I kept on playing drums, bass, guitar and banjo, made arrangements an so on. The kids&family life made me take a break from music. Now I sit late at night with so much inspiration - writing lyrics and melodies. Still don't know if I have talent or not. The only thing I know is that I have no education in songwriting and no contacts (producers, record companies etc) Trying to write in genres I really don't know. That's why I'm into country now. That's why I'am searching for friends. The best thing would be to find some people "with the same feelings". To write a verse and a chorus send it and see what happens. Most people says that it's impossible to continue a song not written by yourself, but I don't think so. Just a simple example I made in 20 minutes one early morning before work after reading a SMS from a friend getting divorced: Is it worth to be finished, or is it best to press delete? Have a good evening! /P
  9. First post! I have left all cover band projects behind, now writing all alone late at night. Trying to find a musical soulmate or any kind of songwriting colab. I have so far found dozens of communties/groups giving nothing - just folks saying "look at me and like me". Let's see if I can found new friends here or not :)
