I hate to ask a stupid question, but did you remove the software disk before you restarted? Sometimes, anytime software is left in the tower, it will give the "cannot locate floppy drive" error. Don't ask me why.
Tom
but shouldnt that problem have been resolved once the disk was removed? even after the programs where uninstalled, and even a system restore was done?
well anyways, going to go check out the link in the next post. thanks for the reply, ill let ya know if i get anywhere
EDIT: yea um, I talked to thier "support" before i even bought the thing and they said it would work. I dont know. I pretty much already have given up anyways, its just not worth the hastle for me anymore. and the computer im getting will probably be better. and from what ive heard after having this issue... and others.. DELL SUCKS so I suppose its for the best but ill still look into the problem
-
Oh I don't think so.
Why would they wish to fake their own picture?
I wouldnt begin to have a clue. but thats beside the point. the fact is that, it still looks edited. AGAIN, note the dissapearing strings and blur factor
-
If I had a spare 6 million bucks, I guess I could be tempted by this particular old Gibson L1
this picture looks either edited or a fake http://www.rjguitar.com/enter.php?page=7
look down near the bottom blurry and the strings DISSAPEAR as well as look at the fret board, on the right side down, blurry spot here, blurry spot there ??? is this crap for real?

Ok so just a maybe a month or two ago I bought a brand new dell computer online from the dell site. customized it to my needs, and so on. I then bought a E-MU1212 soundcard from zzounds. I installed the cards, then the software. I did as it told and restarted the computer to complete the instalation. First off, when I turned the computer back on. It gave me some "cannot locate floppy drive" error and I had to press F1 to start up. Ok first off I NEVER HAD A FLOPPY DRIVE INSTALLED, but when I installed the sound card it said it detected it?? but yet it also said it detected the PCI device. so whatever, the computer boots up and it wont even load everything, the instalation comes up and it gets so slow it actually FROZE. A brand new computer with good memory and processor, FROZE. So I pressed the power button, removed the sound card. turn the computer back on.. problem still there. Uninstalled the software...problem still there... went to device manager and uninstalled the non existant floppy drive, restart the computer, PROBLEM STILL THERE... do a system restore to the day before i installed the sound card, PROBLEM STILL F-ING THERE. Since I live in the middle of nowhere there really isnt any computer places around to take it. so ive decided to cut my losses and unless someone has had this problem and knows how to fix it, im selling this computer and getting a new one that wont start this BS with me.

I think this could be a great Idea and I think some of the other members more "in the know" about the workings of the music business will see this as a great topic for discussion. Good luck on your endeavor! (sorry that thats all I can give ya )

Well, I can only speak for myself, but Ive never found anything wrong with the sound quality of WMP. Maybe I just have low standards?
