  5. Mahesh, this is a thing of beauty. You just put together all the fragments in my mind labeled Mahesh, neatly constructed them into the artist in your video, and sang to the nerve endings that trigger needs and admiration. Being a non-techie, I'll have to have my wife show me how to get my fix of you.... but very soon you'll be in a Mustang with me driving the highways of California. Looking up at the new bar you've set..... Rick

  11. Gotta tell ya, I'm so lucky to have a great bunch of talented friends like I do up here! Whodathunk that up here in the sticks there would be so many great musicians.... must be the reduced oxygen

Having fun getting ready for a mountain jam!
  13. I've been playing around with a Teac/Triag product call a BuddyBox & Bump Cable. It allows us to plug our laptops via a cpu together and use them just like a multi-screen PC. This is nice because we can just click and drag wave files off each other's desktop with out having to export them. Seems to work well with W7 & Lennox based systems. I can drag my entire Audacity program back and forth between my laptops, but for some reason it's currently impossible to leave it there when you unplug. Tonight we were working on dragging midis and elecric drum recordings between my PT and a friends G-Pro.... with marginal success. What I do like about it is that during a session, were processing at almost twice the speed, what I'm not thrilled about is that I have to shut down AVG while transfering files and make sure my bluetooth isn't piggybacking a wi-fi hot spot (so I'm not on line)

Very cool photo shoot.... this would be one of my favorites. Your photographer focused on the branches & made this almost a behind the scenes shot. Great stuff! Rick

    More fun in the mountains!
  16. Just getting started in the selection process...... Currently looking for something simple to use until I get my feet wet. Using a laptop w/ Vista. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, Rick
  17. I've recently been digging into this same question..... I'm not all that computer savy, use a windows based lap top, and I'm looking for a good basic set-up so I can record & send files back & forth between other musicians. No doubt, once I have other instuments available I'll start using this feature, so I guess that should be part of equation too. From a ease of usage stand point (for the terminally unskilled engineer) which would be best, or is there another that would be better? Thanks for your input! - Rick

  22. lol, didn't know there was an "ignor button" (you're safe John) babble, babble.... assuming that I know how this thread came about, I have to admit that when the (hmmm) originator of this issue actually came back and dug his heels in a second time, I gained a little respect for his genuiness (I couldn't have come back and defended statements like that) I guess at the end of the day peer pressure will more than likely even the playing field as is the case in life. Would I be put on time out if I produced the single worst arrangement ever heard by mankind so I can study that form of rejection.... and of course write a song about it?
  23. I hate to advocate it, but an "ignore button" is often used when individuals can't seem to be civil. I've been treated with amazing respect on this site, but there are a few obvious friction spots that could benefit the ability to opt out. Hope this is of assistance, Rick Glynn
