What Do You Want To Do?

Hey guys,

I've been trying to do some soul-searching lately about my songwriting, and I have been struggling to define what exactly I want to do with my music. I'm curious as to what some of you guys' goals are?

Is the goal...

To get great recordings to give to your friend and family?

To simply get your thoughts out?

To eventually be a full time artist?

Is production and arrangement more important to you than content and composition?

I'm genuinely curious to hear other people's thoughts on this. If this has been posted somewhere before, can somebody point me to it?

I find it's the best form of venting! It just makes me feel alive, and it's a great deal of fun with friends.

I just want to have fans.

I could care less about financial gain...It'd be great, but I could care less about money if I had 100,000 subscribers on YouTube..

That's why I give everything away...for the time being, at least.

I'll always make it and put it out there, even I have no fans, but gosh, I wish some people liked my stuff.

None of those things are drivers for me.

I dont have much choice about it. I just need to make music.

Some of what you mention may be considerations after the music is made. I usually dont know what to do with it after its done.

Is production and arrangement more important to you than content and composition?

No. However, radical arranging is a fun game.

Production is usually a nuisance.

Ive been writing lyrics for many years but never shared, so im new to this. My goal is being able to see my lyrics comes to life .. and letting everyone here it
