English pronounciation

I need to ask you guys for an honest answer.

Those of you who have heard my stuff, did you at all react on something in my english pronounciation in general? I do have an english mother and have spoken the language since I was little, but I'm still worried some norwenglish could have sneaked in.

to be honest i have never noticed but then i have never listened out for it. There is usually a lot going on in your songs so i dont think it is something you need to worry about

I have always been unsure as to whether English or Norwegian is your mother tongue. You write English pretty much like a native (i.e. you make occasional mistakes, but don't we all!) and your singing sounds like a native English speaker. I guess Norwegian must be your first language and English a close second, then?

By the way, the word is 'pronunciation'!

Thank you. I just got comments from this girl at work (who ain't that good an english speaker herself, when I come to think of it) that my pronunciation was a bit "off" - whatever she meant. Maybe she just doesn't like me. Or does.... hmmm.

Anyway, yes, living in Norway for all my life has made Norwegian my first language. But having an English mother and also now having worked in an international environment for several years has made my English very much better.

to be honest since i already knew where you were from before i heard your stuff i was expecting a strong accent but i did not hear one you sound like a true english gent (in the nicest way)

Finn, don't confuse pronunciation with accent. It would be surprising if you didn't have some kind of accent.................

You forget that we have a great many Geordies on TV and sometimes they sound like they are Norw-english to us down in Devon , anyway.
