Music College, University?

Hi, just wondering... is someone who knows some great college for pop music in Europe where you can get scholarship as student?

I think could be Austria, germany, england.

I can make no specific recommendation.  However, I can ask you to ask yourself this: How much really good pop music have you ever heard coming out of either Austria or Germany?

Well... There's actually a good deal of "Pop" music being made in Germany. Whether it is "coming out" is another question, as is the part about whether it's "really good." But I'll tweak your question a tiny bit if you don't mind, Hobo, and ask... How much Pop music is coming out of any college anywhere?

If you're actually going to go to college I wouldn't waste it on learning how to write pop music. You can do that at home, with your friends. Or, pick a better major and start a band with the people you meet at college.

Here's a story I love to tell but it's not mine.

 

A young woman goes to college and gets a Bachelor in Arts degree in music composition, performance, and education.  She then goes off to teach music for a living.  While still writing and performing in unknown bands.  She meets up with an up and coming producer that gets her gigs singing jingles.  One of those jingles dropped $40,000 into her pocket.  Nice work for an afternoon gig.  Soon other commercials follow and she relocates to California.  Where her education and networking eventually pay off with bigger and bigger gigs writing for other artists.

I asked about austria and germany beeing closer to my country. I know that UK is better. IS another option. Tough I got no asnwers yet. And I was speaking about VOCAL pop university.

Also I think sweden has good school. Russia too? I think tough that russia and austria are involved in classical music more than pop.

Can be also jazz university, but based on vocal learning, not on instrumental.

You aren't going to go far in the music industry on your voice alone.  Pick up an instrument. You don't have to be great at it but you should try to be good.  Now is a good time to start playing one.

I'm playing piano. Making solfegios too. But interested in a vocal teaching university with scolarship, if possible.
