love

 

there are places I've been

people I've seen

but that's in the past

 

girls I have kissed

none I have missed

love just doesn't last

 

then I met you

and somehow I knew

this time it's for real

 

when I hold you tight

all through the night

that's how love should feel

 

it feels hot and cold

that's how I know

I've never felt this before

 

I'm standing there

while walking on air

I love it and I want more

 

when I hold your hand

I can  understand

love is a wonderful thing

 

so I asked you

you said I do

now you are wearing my ring

 

there are places I've been

people I've seen

but that's in the past

 

you're the first girl I've kissed

that makes me feel like this

now I know our love will last

You say you wrote this before you know how to - well you did a good job IMO 

 

Love is a personal thing and your writing is from the heart just as it should be.
