Next planned buy...

Recommended Posts

I'm always PLANNING to buy a new electro-acoustic guitar but never actually get round to it.

I've managed to get permission - if you know what I mean - but the condition is that the current one has to go and there is really not much wrong with it - I have grown to like it over the last 21 years so a new one just feels self-indulgent.

I've just put new strings on and it sounds new anyway.

What would you go for Finn?

I'm looking at some Behringer Truth monitors. I have listened to them and they do seem to fit my usage very well. I currently mix down on a shitty JVC stereo + I use headphones (pretty good KOSS headphones).

Any suggestions in the same priserange (NOK 2-3000 ($600)) are welcome.

Behringer Truth monitors ROCK.

All I need right now is more room and more time

Yeh me too. And more money, and a better motor, and a new guitar would be good! And a computer upgrade. Oh and some extra cash. Did I mention that?

I have never tried the behringer monitors, but I worked with behringer mixers, effects and compressors. all I can say is that they are good for the money they cost, but they're very noisy and have a very short life... (specially the faders on the mixers).

my advice is to try several monitors before you buy. if you can, compare them on the shop with your favorite cd.

Hey Nigel

Ok, ordered by likelyhood of success, higher to lower ->

Idea 1:

Win the lottery jackpot.

Idea 2:

Invent something everybody wants, nobody needs, only you can manufacture, where materials are free, and people will help you make it for you for free just to be assosciated with it.

Idea 3:

Sell your body. You would need to be patient, but I feel almost sure that eventually you would raise the remainder of the £14.00. (Assuming you are about the £12.00 mark just now).

;)

John

Cheeky? Me? ;D:P
