come now dry those tears

it's just a shell lying here

I am gone but I'm still alive

in your heart I'll  survive

that soft wind on your cheek

is my kiss  so do not weep

my fingers will ruffle your hair

when there is no wind there

 

times when you think of me

by you side I'll always be

I'm only just a thought away

no matter if it's night or day

for death is just a mystery

once it's solved you will see

it's the beginning not the end

so let's not say goodbye my friend

 

let me lie in peace for now

we'll meet again somehow

walk away don't look back

behind you is  the past

for I'm not there it's true

I walk along next to  you

we'll meet some other time

over on the other side

Beautifully written and realized- your words ring true- they are eloquent and moving- full of love and loss and the quick passage of time- something we as humans will at some point -experience- that moment when we begin to realize our mortality- for it is out of  love, a zest for in our life- to live it-  and then-ultimately our death- that we are brought full circle- given the reassurances for- that final hope in a life everlasting....that little nugget - that something, we all hold on to dearly- and maybe just maybe - given one more chance to see our departed loved ones again- if and when-having no doubt......they will be there to meet us on the other side- your words speak truth- very nicely done, as always!...regards Mike

Very relatable for anyone in that situation. "Back" and "past" aren't close enough rhymes to fit in though..seeing as to how the rest are pretty similar or perfect rhymes.
