Michael Chapman: He informed my earliest acoustic playing in 1970

Sorry if this is too dark, but he's kind of like that often

For me, maybe younger and much less the musician than y'all, Lindsey Buckingham and Never Going Back Again was the first picking style song that really, really, really sunk into my core awareness of "I love that guitar".  I loved the whole album and all, but this song is still a favorite of mine.

Jimmy Page

There is a magic within his acoustic playing. His timing is lyrical not mechanical.  Carlos Santana was once asked of all his contemporaries which guitarist did he admire most.  The answer Jimmy Page. He creates mansions with chords

This Guy ---

Hiroshi Masuda

Of all the "one man band" fingerstyle guitarists I've heard over the years he still tops the list.  He lives in a very small apt in Japan and makes his money performing live in coffee shops.

Nice contributions! :)

I posted this link elsewhere (I love the tune) and is a superb fingerstyle arrangement of Brazil by young Ary Barroso

originally 'Aquarela do Brasil' which means 'A Watercolour of Brazil'
