Defiant Bastard

Standing in the dust of the defiant bastard

The scars of love written on your face seem connected

You’ve chosen to mate with this killer and breed your offspring

To cripple the good that lies in the heart of mankind

Scorpion flesh bites in the night

Washing away the you that once was

Sanitizing the hollow shallow walls of your inspiration

Your dreams of love now floating in a river of decaying hope

As darkness falls the evil penetrates your soul

Adding scar upon scar upon scar

The clashing will soon begin to unfold

As the monster emerges through the depths of night

But we are not afraid

For we shall stand and fight the evil that surrounds us

And continue the battle that you have started

And continue – until you are no more

Thanks Steve... yeah, I had some anger, some hurt, some loss, mostly a great loss... a huge loss actually, one that took many years to overcome, but I knew I would overcome, thus the ending.
