I guess that you like hardware stuff, something to put your hands on.

But I just can name software stuff right now,

there are many modular synths in software mode,

you can do anything you want with NI Reaktor, or you even have Moog Modular by Arturia...

as for drum machines I guess you're in the mood for some old obscure beat box with circuits inside but...

some software I have tried is, Waldorf Attack, and I know that NI Reaktor can make awesome old analog rythms and sounds.

some free sampler box called SR-202 comes with Computer Music Magazine, with classic box samples and more, you can even make your own samples, record weird stuff around your house and then tweek them all...

i actually do have a couple cm demo discs so i'll check out that box you were talking about, i'd really like to get a 606 or a boss dr. sample, but i'm also kindof wanting an airsynth or a casio sk-8, so i might just end up using some software drums to save some $$$
