Where am I? Oh, right, okay.

My name's Matt. I've been playing music since about 2005 or so.

I write my own music, not really a fan of cover tunes. I'm inspired by short punk songs, grunge, singer-songwriter stuff, power-pop.

I'm a hobbyist audio-engineer -- mixing, generally.

Message boards may not be on trend, not that anything is for long these days, but they are more useful than social media as they can link to stuff just as easily and activity streams bring in a lot of the other benefits of social media, but I also find them much less distracting, less spammy. No photos of people’s lunch for a start!

I find they're more specific. This site is specifically for music, lol.

Social media, such as Facebook, which has groups, is more like a Wal-Mart or fast food joint (vs mom and pop stores or restaurants).

A lot of variety but it's certainly not a specialty store.

Thank you kindly! I'm releasing all of my stuff from over the years as an album as soon as I have the funds.

 

I'm amazed at all the users here with such similar influences, btw.
I see John is into Jethro Tull and Sabbath, as well as you being into Queen and Primus.

Everyone here seems to have amazing taste!
