maybe throw a pre made midi drum loop in & look in the drum editor

take some beats away , add some beats just to check variations 

i found that the easiest learning curve

Pretty nice man, very well mixed for a beginner. You got a sick bassy 808 on this bad boy. I'd work on adding a part b to the melody though, the same 4 bar loop plays the entire time
