J+1 - Alleyways (Orchestral Cover by Tanju Demirhan and Carl Davies)

Hey everybody!

I guess this is my first musical post here on Songstuff. 

It's an orchestral/cinematic cover of J+1 and DrDisrespect's Alleyways. Arranged by TDM (me) and vocals by Carl Davies (link below).

The original version is a Synthwave song which is pretty simple but still totally great. I tried to make it a bit more interesting with some different instruments and variations in melody.

Pretty good job! The only bit I am not so sure of is the verse backing harmony. The level is ok but the harmony line could be better. A good wall of sound mix, pretty clear too.

 

What sort of set up did you use?

Thank you @john and @Gtar Pkr for the critique 🙂 I will foward it to Carl. Tho currently he isn't in conditions fit to sing, so new recordings will take some time and we also have two other projects waiting as well. Untill then I'll see if I can improve the overall vocal sound settings.

I didn't record the vocals. Carl did the vocal recording. I wrote/arranged and recorded all instrumental lines and did the mixing.
