Hey, I'm Matt from Hotel Security!

Hey all, it's great to be here. My name's Matt, and I'm the lead singer/keyboardist from the alt rock band Hotel Security.

 

I'm based in NYC, where I've lived my whole life. I've played keys for a band called Blue Spruce since 2016, and I still do. In 2019, I began writing songs with guitarist Austin Rowey, and together we formed our own band, Hotel Security. It's heavy alternative rock with colorful melodies and chords, but we like to call it "pseudo-prog." I'm heavily inspired by pre-2009 Muse, as well as Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, The Strokes, Queen, Electric Light Orchestra, and more. I also love film and video game soundtracks, as well as classical music, so you can hear bits all of those influences in our music, in addition to my writing partner Austin's metal influences.
