Tracking the common man’s path

Slipping through shadows

Watching your back

Trapped in the security of your power trip

You’ve become terminal to me

You’ve slipped

My feelings are shifting

Convincing me to be

Pushed further from your suffocating grip

Choosing pity and pleasure over peace of mind

May seem the cure

Closing this curtain in my life

May leave me sore

False sanity is yours for this one time in your life

But it won’t stay once you realize I’m no longer under your knife
