Silent Screams

This was written for a contest run by a member on a poetry site.. they gave a list of titles, and a list of words. You needed to pick a title, and write a poem using that title, that included all of the following words...

I chose the title "silent screams" and I actually liked the product so I thought Id post it here....

Silent Screams

Silent screams

Inside my heart

Slowly but surely

Tearing me apart

Silent screams

Only shown by my tears

I hold back

But one escapes my grasp

The cold wet droplet streams down my pale white face

My secret is no longer my own

My fear

So clear

Like the memory of you

Every night crying

Your picture under my pillow

In my dreams I see you

Through the mist of the silver fog

An echo calls back to me

I Emerge from behind my veil of tears

But you are gone

And there is nothing

Just black.....

Thanx bunches guys... out of about 40 entries I got tied for third place lol.. which is surprising to me, alot of the kids there are great poets. But yea, contests like this are held all the time there... the reward ... comments lol (as in they will give out a certain amount of comments to your poetry). Its a nice idea actually since short of that, the only way to get any comments is to tell people youll give them 3 for one lol. but anyways... thanx again.. glad you liked it!
