Lennon's Grammar

I was on another forum, and John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ was criticised for poor grammar for the line ‘and no religion too’.

It was suggested that it be altered to 'No religion either'.

A change like that could wreck the song!

That kind of anal thinking is probably why the best he can do is criticizing a highly acclaimed songwriter, for no real reason other than to appear controvertial, and not writing multi-million dollar songs!

Grammar be blowed! When the average person speaks, they use bad grammar, slang, etc. Nobody wants to hear their english teacher sing them a song! And John Lennon of all people! That heckler may have never been born if his parents hadn't conceived him in the back seat of their Volkwagen Bug while listening to the Beatles!!!
