What styles of music are you most interested in?

Friendly bunch here! I like that.

My tastes as far as enjoyment are pretty eclectic, including but not limited to rock, classical, blues, old standards, big band, folk... you get the idea.

Composition is a different story and I realize that I'm waaaaaay in the minority here. A little background: I mentioned that I'm a director. Specifically I'm the choral director for a small church and a few years ago I started writing some pieces for them in order to expand our repertoire a bit without much cost (other than the hair I pulled out until I got the harmonies right). I may post a few of my older pieces later on if there's interest. I've also tried composing some poppish/rockish stuff before and I wouldn't subject anyone to the absolute crap I came up with. I wish I could develop some talent in that area but I'm afraid I have very little of the necessary knowledge of instrumentation.

Interesting background. I like the challenge of choral arrangements. Haven't don't anything in that vain for ages. Member Donna is currently active in choirs etc. but I know she is currently unable to access the boards. Hopefully she will return soon

Harmony is one of my passions in music. Well the whole lot is, but it is one of those things that particularly interests me. I look forward to some interesting discussions!
