Speak no more of my words

For they are the remnants of a single moment

Frozen in time

When reality was suspended

While your mind played

And mine rocked violently in it's wake

What thoughts they have caused you to think!

You, who remembers not the moment of their origins

And cannot know

But through prisms of your own design

Thus light is seen

And our world shaped

Inevitably and unknowingly

I thought it was over

That you were done with our game

That I had come too close

And failed your standard

But like two bodies in space

Whose orbits have been rocked before gravity prevails

We circle each other still

Closer, not farther

As if we closed our eyes against destruction

And opened them to find

That things were clearer and more intact

Than ever before

When my words have all been refuted

And there is peace in your mind

And you open it and let your thoughts flow to me

I am humbled and grateful

I seek not your favor

Or your love

Beyond that which you choose to give

It is not a covenant between us

The kaleidoscope I see when I look at you

Is the one that you present

No more, no less

Than the transparency you see in me

But the light that shines from us both

Is of a single color and intensity

As we cast it upon each other

And bathe in each other's

Our souls are illuminated

We see what was once invisible

But do we ponder what secrets still lay hidden

In the darkness between us

Will we be lain bare

Revealed as one

Or will gravity bring us crashing down

As our orbits draw closer and closer
