  1. If you don't need sound generation capability within the keyboard then the quality of the key action and the various sliders that make up the control surface really improves. I've already got various external sound modules plus soft synths in the PC so investing in a decent piano weigthed controller was the priority. When it comes to control sliders... it depends on your style and needs. If you need extra input sliders you can always by a separate control surface at a later point. One more thing.... are you a piano player?
  2. I usually use my PC as the hub of my studio, but I am in the market for a standalone DAW. I'm comparing them with a laptop set up. I haven't looked at DAWs for ages. Any personal recommendations or ideas? ty
  3. i'm a long term Cakewalk user (since version3), I have used Cubase though most time on Cubase was using Mike Hunter's crack version on an old Atari 1024 ST lmao what are the rcommended alternatives? free would be ideal!

    Korg M3

feature wise this looks really great, but it has to be one of the ugliest sampler keyboards there is: http://www.korg.com/gear/prod_info.asp?a_p...p;category_id=1 have a listen to the sample mp3. pretty cool i think I don't suppose any of you have one?
  8. I'd by one. If i had the money lmao
  9. does anyone know how they can make stereo sounds sound like they come from outside the speakers? you know what i mean?I used to have a sterso with a button on it that you pressed and all of a sudden a sound would appear to come from somewhere to the right of the right hand speaker etc. It was like you were sitting closer to the band lol No special reason, just always wondered how it worked.
  10. I've got the same desk as you John! lol
