Love the stuff they do. This was my first song on my "Peggy's Picks" playlists for Songstuff. Here's the song and agree about arrangements!!

When I'm tracking a song I do the backing vocals first, so I guess that's my warm up for sounding better on the lead take. Haha. I practice guitar way more than I do singing. What are your warm up suggestions, Peggy?
Does doing your backup vocals help with your lead take? And then are you satisfied with the backup vocals?

I don't actually consider what I do "singing"... So, no, I don't practice at all lol. Unless, cutting and pasting the best of three takes counts
So you're singing with each take and then editing. How much editing is done choosing the best vocal track?

I hadn't seen this.
I think your voice has a very nice deep tone. It complements your guitar and style. I surely like this song. It goes way back for me.. I don't remember where or when I learned it. Enjoyed your version.

I guess that few if any bother with warm up exercises.
But it's never too late to pick up a beneficial habit.

Think you've heard "Over the Rainbow" so many times you're sick of it? Eva's arrangement makes it like a new song and yet it's still the old one too. She could have given clinics in arranging. And what a singer.
I love the song and she performs it so beautifully.

Pixies will release new album ‘Doggerel’ on September 30. “This time around we have grown”, says guitarist Joey Santiago. “We no longer have under two-minute songs. We have little breaks, more conventional arrangements but still our twists in there”.
Here’s the single:

Vocal warm-up exercises are a great way to start your practice session or to prepare yourself before you sing. They can help you get ready to sing by loosening up your vocal cords and getting you in the right frame of mind.
What warm-up exercises do you do before practicing or singing?

Rick has a great YouTube channel, worth subscribing. 👍 Tons of musicians, demos and information. His new interview with session guitarist Tim Pierce is just what makes the channel so fun, and "educational". They get pretty deep on the gear Tim uses.. Tim has played with many great bands since the 80's .. worth checking him out, too.
Enjoy!

Start of a new lyric idea? I can hear it..
