    Thought I'd mention that you also might want to check out the Critique boards.

    Each board has its required number of posts for adding a new topic. 

     

    Check the information at the top of the board for that board's requirements.

    Showcase is used by some members for finished sings.  It's not a critique board.

    Song critique board are those songs that are/have been works in progress where members are requesting some type of critique and review.

    From creativity to time savings, legalities, ethics and on and on, there is so much news and discussion about AI and the music industry.  I thought I'd ask a couple of questions to see what Songstuff member's thoughts were.

     

    - With new and emerging AI technologies, how do you imagine the use of these technologies for songwriters, musicians and other music creatives in their own works?  

     

    - What do you see as benefits and concerns for the artistic value of musical compositions with the integration of AI in music?

    The latest stats on people listening to music in 2023. 

     

    Some of the stats were a surprise to me.  I knew that country music was very popular but .... that percentage is alot of listeners!!!

     

    "Almost 50% of Americans said they listen to Country music."  

     

    "According to a Deezer survey of US respondents, it was the 3rd most listened to genre at 49.9%, right after Rock at 56.8%, and Pop at 56.1%."

     

    Did any of of the stats surprise you?

     

    Being a musician:

    - How much time do you spend listening to music, including your own, in a week?

     

    - What are the sources of the music you listen to?

    Yes, you're right about the Covers board on Songstuff.

     

    It would be best to have access to a phone or computer that can be used to create accounts on Soundcloud etc.  A controlled domain that has security requirements that prevent certain types of usage can't be the solution. Just guessing here, but vocaroo restrictions are probably covered in the security policy if usage is also on the controlled domain that's blocked soundcloud and disallowed YouTube uploads.
