Here in the No Illinois/So Wiscosin area there are major venues that require that the band purchase so many event tickets and sell them as part of the pay. So if you son't sell enough tix they aren't out any $$$... The "Emergenza" battle of the bands is also a "pay to play" event. They supply all the backline equipment(drums/amps/pa/effects) and you get 15 minutes to play your best original material.

I have digitech rp300 and it work fairly well. You really have to sit for long periods to dial in the right sound and then sit for more hours to get the levels right. I have a menagerie of sounds we like to use with the RP and bypassed so getting the levels right is a must. I really like the idea of an "all in one" pedal but it is tedious work. So I went back to just the two channel head coupled with my old school 80's Ibanez chorus/flanger and use an ibanez eq for my boost. Can't beat that raw Marshall sound!!! Currently looking to upgrade from my MG head to the Marshall JVM 410H, that thing is sweet and it sound awesome!!! Goo dluck in your search...

I try to play as much as I can the week of a gig and rest on the day of. About 20 minutes before show time I start with some chromatic scales all the way up and down the neck. Try to go thru a few of the solo's I play and then have ONE Jeager bomb to calm down. Anymore than that and I feel the crowd is getting jipped if I start to blow it. Been playing gigs solidly, once a month, for 2 years now and I still get a case of the nerves right before ST...?? What ever works I guess...
