I also like the interplay of the various simple rhythmic patterns to keep the interest alive. Not a huge fan of that beat though. I would have preferred something more futuristic sounding than a sort of dance pastiche. Obviously, they were going for a genre piece, but the rest was minimal and clever, whereas the drums sounded a bit cliche.

     

    I think they were going for the dance feel with the beat, the song has been described as dance/electronic fusion.
