  1. Here's another one, the Boardwalk Empire VFX Breakdowns of Season 1
  2. Well, I think this is were he works: http://www.dmu.ac.uk/faculties/humanities/undergraduate-degree-courses/ba-degree-courses/music-technology-innovation/facilities/music-technology-innovation-project-lab.jsp and you could contact him via the mail addy in the opening sequence of the video (not repeating it here because of spambots... ). Ask him if they have any plans of getting it to market.
  3. Very funny - what if you could turn(table) back time?
  4. Yeah I would really love to see that Timescape thing when it's fully done... looks gorgeous. http://timescapes.org/

  7. Tron Legacy Parody Trailer:
  8. OK, installed it - and has a few quirks, still - for some reason I get no image, only sound. Will keep testing though - looks promising, all in all. awright, found out why - the codecs that it needs didn't install properly: will have to fix that first, obviously.
  9. For those who missed out on it last night:
  10. 2010 'Filmography'* Mashup: *Cinematography is too typo-inducing these days, I guess

Pretty impressive in its own right, beside being crazy and funny: Cows.
  13. Alex Roman (remember that 3d and the 7th?) does it again:
  14. Lightworks Beta, currently downloading it and testing - but the grapevine noises are favourable, so far - oh, and it's free. Registration required for downloading, tho. http://www.lightworksbeta.com/
  15. Well if you have timing issues, a metronome can help out, but if you are on a *very* tight budget, as in zip - get Audacity and use click-tracks, this is the cheapest alternative to a metronome that I know of, since it comes free. Good thing is also that you can use the same clicktrack independently, so if you are collaborating via the web, your stuff should be in sych, as long as it is in synch with the clicktrack you agree on. Demo: Download link: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/?lang=nl
  16. Another awesome timelapse: Collision 3 1/2
  17. Awesome clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFK5--QFSok

  19. Duh. Let's put the atavisitic back into Avatar http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2010/11/movie-animal-sounds/
  20. Dunno, never use them really - I have my own website space for that, if needed - but this one seems to allow pretty huge files: http://www.4shared.com/
  21. Hmm that's strange - maybe you can upload a file somewhere, and I can take a look at it?
