Hi, I'm VDX. I've just registered with the website in order to see what it is all about. Even though this most probably won't be read, I'll give it a shot: 1. Do you sing, play an instrument or instruments? I used to sing when I was little. My voice isn't what it used to be, though. What instruments? I play keyboards (in my own way - not like a classical pianist). Eventually I hope to learn the Linnstrument. When did you start playing? When I was 4. With one finger. Did you teach yourself? 100% yes. 2. Are you in a band or bands? Not really... Or maybe a 1 man band What is the name of the band? It's called VDX. What do you play? Instrumental music, i guess. What other instruments are in the band? Me, myself and I. But I can probably sound like many instruments, from electronic to acoustic. Do you have a band website? Well, it's a soundcloud page. 3. Do you write songs? Yes. Do they call them songs without vocals? If not.. then maybe 'tracks'... Do you write lyrics, music or both? Music only. Do you have a writing partner? No, not really. 4. Do you record your music? Of course I do. Doesn't everybody? Do you use a home studio? If so what gear do you use? Yes, sort of. There are 6 keyboards, one way or another. Some speakers, and a computer. Also many cables, and some pedals. Oh yes... headphones (neighbors ) and a condenser mike I rarely use. Do you use a recording studio? No. Not in a traditional sense (though the 'home' studio involves recording). Do you have music available on the web? if so where? Yes. It's on the soundcloud page. Under /vdxi 5. What other roles do you perform in the music business? Management? Label owner? Publishing? Promotion? Other? No, No, No, No....and no. 6. Are you a tech head? Yes, you could definitely say that 7. What country do you live in? Umm... not relevant. 8. What are your ambitions? To be able to transfer music from my head to speakers, with the least amount of effort. And then just to create. Music. 9. Do you draw/paint/write stories/computer art/dance or other creative pursuit? I can't draw a straight line. I never tried to write my thoughts. I do some of my own cover art. I .. umm... move, but I'm not sure you could call it 'dancing'. What are your pastimes? Well, I guess you could call music my hobby, considering my day job. 10. What would you like to get out of Songstuff? I was thinking I'd meet similar people. Maybe I'd like to look for opinions? share opinions? I'm not sure what I'm doing.
