Well funny you should mention reverb as it's the reverb units I wanted to keep mainly! I've got a really nice old Korg unit that has some lovely warm sounds

So when you say I should look for an external...I'm guessing that's one that sits outside the pooter? (sorry to sound blonde lol )

Hmmm...that would be good! But I'm guessing it would just be easier to have one soundcard!

I found having two quite useful! You don't have to use two, but you have the option to record to both should you choose to do that!

You could probably keep your existing soundcard. But if you went with something like the M Audio, that would become your main card. I used to have two soundcards in my computer!

Yes this is a good point....to be honest I've not once thought about using any of the rack gear, as I've been using all the FX on the pooter - it's just it seems a shame to have the rack stuff and not use it! But I guess it's silly to use it just for the sake of it......and I could sell it and spend the spondoolies on some thing else (or of course, donate it all to Steve! After all...he'll even come and collect!! Waw! lol )

We used to hold a contest. (no prizes we're too tight!) Best song won the chance to brag about it on the forums! It was just a way to get people writing, doing something! A goal if you like. I almost won last year, sadly, I was the only entrant. And I posted my effort after the deadline. If anybody is interested, we could revive it for next year? We used to start advertising it about July, August! If anybody would like to get anything going in this way, we could have a quartely contest with a theme? Perhaps get some small prizes to the winner. Got some luverly fridge magnets!
