Capos

Hey

Been a while since I bought a capo. I recently bought a G7th capo. What a difference. No assing about with fiddly bits when you move it, and no re-tune issues. At last a decent capo that is easy to use.

I've NEVER used a capo... What exactly is a G7th capo? I thought they were all just pitch raisers...?!

It is just a pitch changer. G 7th is the product name only.

I had a capo years ago, one of the spring-loaded type that just clips on to the neck quickly. The only trouble was that I had a wider neck on my guitar than the capo was designed to fit. Eventually I tossed it in exasperation and went back to transposing. Hard to always get the stronger chords where you want them that way though.

I personally wouldnt be without my capo i bought a marin one at £14.99 its a great wee spring clamp one easy to move

I have two Dunlop trigger capos. Easy to move quickly. Easy to crack the plastic binding on the neck of the guitar when the spring is too strong!

I have an old one--big, clunky metal thing--that I keep in the guitar case. I don't use it much on my songs, but I'll use it a lot when I'm playing with other people. Lets me do the guitar work with chords I'm most comfortable with, whikle the singer can sing in whatever key he or she wants.

Aww, I was hoping it was a special one that would give you open tunings or something That I would buy...

I expect if I ever start playing and signing, or find a vocalist I will get one, but until then there's absoloutely no need for me!! lol

Ive never used one either but Ive seen a few people using them but seeing as im terrible with chord changing and well just playing really "chordy" (Yes that is a new word I just made up ) songs with a lot of chord changes.

I only use my capo on one song, but I have to cos the song just doesn't sound the same if different chord shapes are used when it's transposed
