I'm still not too sure where to post it. I probably should have explained myself better.

I have some tunes I've recorded but every time I try to put vocals to them, I'm not happy with the "way" (I guess you could say), that I sing to it. So I'm wanting to post some of them and see if anyone can help me put a good vocal pattern to it.

Post your recordings to the Song and Recording critique board. Post one song per topic, include the lyrics and mention what kind of critique are looking for and what you are not looking for. Please take comments as being constructive critique, not a personal critique. Critique requires the poster to be open to discussion and is not recommended for the easily offended. If members get the feeling that straight talking comments are not welcome then comments will dry up.

Please also take time to critique the songs of others. It is exxpected of those wanting critique, whether you are experienced or not, after all you can tell them your experience level. Please also give comments to the level that you would like comments. I regularly see people posting songs for critique and then offer "I like it" or similar when they crit the work of others. Unfortunately pretty soon the feedback to their own songs will be of a similar level of usefulness, ie near to zero. There are guidelines and articles about critique to help.

Apart from posting the individual songs for critique It will also be worthwhile making a post to the Collaboration board looking for a writing partner to regularly help with melody and a post to the Songwriting Discussion board to discuss melody writing, particularly the general issue you find with your own melodies

Hey Hurley....welcome to the site! My guess is....if you let it be known around these boards, what you're looking for....you'll likely find some folks more than willing to assist in your projects. There seems to be quite a bit of collaboration going on lately.....just be patient & give it a little time.
