80's rock

well i guess im looking into them for style AND sound so... and ebay only really sells the newer ones right now. but you mentioned similars, what may they be?

I'm not sure... a friend told me there is another auction site...auctioone or somehting like that...try a net search. I can't believe no-one else has jumped on the Ebay bandwagon...

I don't if I'd but electric drums from the 80's...especially for sound. Electric percussion equipment wasn't so hot back then.

I understand the scarcity is primarily to do with worn out pads. Apparently the contacts were pretty poor, and the kits weren't very responsive. The dynamics just weren't there even when they did work!

Electric kits have come a long way, mostly in the last five years or so. I have an electric kit, a Roland V-Club, which is their bottom line. For my purposes, it's perfect. The nicer Roland kits now come with amazing mesh pads, and the modules come complete with mixers and plus the library of sounds. One of the other really cool things about the electric kits is that you can record with the module.

actually, the whole "poor quality" and "cheesy sounding" was what i was looking for. Maybe not poor construction, i don't see why anyone would want that... I am very poor right now, so i would like to spend very little on these, but they seem quite hard to find so can anyone recommend a cheap good drum machine?
