I just wanted to make a thread where people can share what songs they like and show others some cool bands they might not have heard before, that sort of thing.

 

I'll start off by saying i just discovered that Talib Kweli is an AMAZING rapper, i can't even describe it so I'll just show you guys.

I won't list them all, but I make it a point of visiting fellow Songstuffers' soundcloud accounts and having a listen. If I like what I hear, I usually click on follow.

 

I was recently introduced to Spotify, but I'll listen to unsigned real artists instead of over produced crap any day.

Like Kel, I've found a lot of amazing musicians/songs from the soundclouds of members here. And Talib Kwali is an amazing artist but lately my hip hop phase has been more Cage, Jedi Mind Tricks, Aesop Rocks older stuff. Not top 40, socially concious to a point but still more of the gangsta rap by people who are well read. If that makes sense.. haha
