Hi Everyone!

I'm a 23 year old songwriter from Rochester, NY. I started playing guitar when I was 10, learning mostly from my dad and my grandpa. I wrote my first song when I was 16 and it has become a passionate hobby of mine ever since. In high school, I played with an original blues project called Little Wing Blues Band, gigging most around the Rochester, NY area. While a student at the University of Rochester and the Eastman School of Music, I studied jazz guitar but also kept up my own song writing and personal projects. I gigged and collaborated with many different campus ensembles and organizations. I'm a huge fan of blues, classic rock, and jazz, but after living in Nashville for six months, I've taken a liking for country music as well.

My songwriting tries to blend all of my different passions and interests into its own sound. To me, it doesn't matter if a song fits into any sort of genre, as long as its meaning is true and honest. I'm exciting to join this community and hope to give and receive constructive feedback.

Feel free to check out some of my demos at www.reverbnation.com/chrisbethmann.

Honor thy music,

Chris
